Mounting for priming and painting

Preparing the model for painting

I've read articles and watched videos on how they prepare the figures for painting. This starts with mounting them on a holder for ease. Most use old paint containers, pill bottles, or any small cylindrical thing they can use as a base to hold the figure while painting. Most also attach the figure to the plastic base to be included in the painting process which is then attached to the holder. And for attaching, their options were either using a glue gun, double-sided adhesive tape, or using super glue. All of which I find a bit tedious and time-consuming to use. And could be messy on the removal from the holder.

Unfortunately, I don't have any item laying around for the holder and I'm still not sure what final base to use. So, I bought small plastic wine glasses and a pack of reusable adhesive putty from a dollar store along with the binder clips.
The putty and the binder clip actually holds firm throughout the priming and painting process. Only movement was for the ones with small tabs for the binder to hold on to. And that's when I accidentally nudged them with my finger.

After making sure it's fixed and won't move with the brush, I start priming.
